I had over 3.000 Balthazar fractions. Spent it all on some noob spell
I have never done pvp, though.

Arrow Well

Might be a little late on the advice here, but I have a W/Mo and this area is the worst in my opinion, it gets easier after this. If I remember what you asked, yes 50-level armor for a Warrior is the highest for this area, you won't find better until later on. I would also take a trip to the rune trader and get absorbtion runes on every piece but the helm, throw a vigor rune on that. Make sure one piece of armor has the special (non-stacking mod) "reduces damage from attacks", probably your main body armor (I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I've heard that piece of armor takes most of the direct damage? Someone might correct me on that).

With that setup and a decent enough shield I did fine and can tank really well. Also, if anyone hasn't told you, make sure you have Mending up, and later on upgrade that to Watchful Spirit if you want. Good Luck.

EDIT: I believe I was around Lvl 13 here, any less and that would also account for problems.

Skill trainers happen to sell any skill that you have unlocked on the account, and you can unlock ANY skill in the game by spending faction at a priest of Balthazar.

So if you want your low level RP character to get a specific skill (like Berserker Stance) make a PVP char, win some fights until you get the faction, use the faction to unlock the skill, then buy the skill from a trainer on your RP character!

The only trick is, it's hard to win PVP if you don't have very good skills in the first place
I forgot to note that skill trainers won't sell elite skills even if you HAVE unlocked them... but you can get any non-elite skill in the game like this (I just got Defensive Stance on my level 6 R/W in Ascalon. I'm not actually sure where you are supposed to get the skill, but it's been nice to have this early on)

Yeah, lvl 10 is on the low side for the north shiverpeaks, and yeah, it seems likely he's bypassed the Piken Square quests. I'd also say that W/Mo will have a hellovalot easier time in PvE than a W/N; I can't really think of an easier class combo to play through the PvE with than W/Mo. Mending and Healing Breeze works in PvE, and you can bring a hard res to get your henches back when they die.

No no no no no! Absorption runes don't stack. The only thing it will stack with is a single rune on any piece of armor and the natural - dmg from the armor. There is no need to get more than one piece of that armor as it is a global effect.

Most of the time, people will set up with knights or ascalon boots or gloves then a higher armor level on the chest and legs (since they have a higher percentage to get hit) then a helm of their weapon type +1 with a rune of the similar type on the helm. A vigor rune on any piece (I put mine on my legs I think) and an absorption rune on another (I put mine on my chest, but it doesn't matter which piece it is on).

Don't worry about XP and drops, you get plenty of XP from quests and missions, I've never had a problem with being underleveled in this game, and i just fill up on henchies or humans for every mission/quest and kill the bare minimum to get by, since i'm lazy.

also, the drops aren't worth it in this point of the game. Unless your unlocking mods for PvP, that's another story, but until you hit the Crystal Desert, drops are pretty worthless.
